Sean Winters from Klamath Works visits Klamath Learning Center twice a week to teach Adulting 101.
His curriculum covers everything from budgeting, resume building and stress management. Winters
teaches his class each Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00-11:45 a.m., and again from 12:15-1:00 p.m. in the gym at the KFCS district office.
Adulting 101 is optional for students at KLC. This past Thursday, students started class with a game of Jenga. The game was not your common game, however. As students played, Winters made sure to ask his students how they were, if they were looking for a job, finishing resume's.
Winters centered his class and the game of Jenga with the hope his students would see what was their next priority they wanted to complete. After each turn in Jenga, a student would say what they wish they could finish next in their life or a goal they want to achieve.
Winters likes his students to be active during Adulting 101 as well, and students finished class with a friendly game of horse.
