EHS Mission Statement

We provide a caring, small school environment where students learn to respectfully communicate and collaborate through projects and technology while preparing for a smooth transition to either college or career and service to their community.

High Tech Education

Powerful Education Opportunities

Above and beyond normal graduation criteria, our students are required to complete requirements in these additional areas:

  • Four college classes from KCC and/or OIT

  • Civic service learning and 40 hours of internship in a work environment

  • Job internships

  • One additional credit in both mathematics and science

  • One year of digital media and perform to industry standards (on software products) before high school graduation. Technology standards and skill development are embedded in our curriculum.

High Tech Facility

Eagle Ridge New Tech is proud to be operating in a new high tech facility with full course offerings in science, social studies, English, math, health and PE as well as digital media, and music. Students are given applied career skills, leadership training, internships, college classes, and technology skills.

We teach our students how to learn, and love doing it; how to cultivate their curious minds; and how to develop a solid foundation on which to base wise choices and build positive lives.

We prepare students to achieve high academic levels, and to apply critical thinking processes and ethical standards to learning, living and problem solving.

Eagle Ridge New Tech received a grant from the Gates Foundation: Fortunately for the school, Eagle Ridge New Tech was the beneficiary of grant funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and was created as a model for innovative, project-based, technology in a small comprehensive high school.
