Free at-home COVID-19 tests
With the new Omnicron variant spreading in the state of Oregon, there are now easier ways to determine if you are positive or negative of COVID-19.
COVIDtest.gov is offering free at-home COVID-19 tests. Every home in the United States is eligible to order four free at-home tests, all free of cost. The orders typically ship between 7-12 days. No identification is required.
The tests are rapid at-home tests, not Polymerase chain reaction and can be taken anywhere. Results of the tests are given within 30 minutes and work whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms. The at-home tests are also accurate whether or not you are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines.
Disease Control and Prevention recommends you take the test five days after you come into close contact with someone with COVID-19, or after gathering in a large group, especially those at risk of severe disease.
