We are writing to inform you about an important change to our student cell phone use policy starting in the 24-25 school year. Beginning next school year, student cell phone use will not be allowed in classrooms on any campus. This new policy will be clearly outlined in the 24-25 student handbooks.

The reason for this change is to reduce distractions and enhance the learning environment for all students. We have found that cell phone use during school hours can significantly disrupt student focus and engagement in the classroom. By limiting cell phone use, we aim to create a more conducive environment for learning and academic success.

Each campus has developed a specific strategy to effectively manage this new policy and ensure a smooth transition for students and staff. For instance, we are implementing the Yondr program this year at Eagle Ridge New Tech High School, which has proven effective in maintaining a distraction-free learning environment.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to make the next school year the best possible for our students and staff. Should you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out.
