The GOALS/Bridges classroom continues to sell items to raise money towards their end of the year class trip. They will be selling cookies, cake pops, brownies, rice crispy treats, lemonade, iced tea, and Arnold Palmers during break and lunch. Please come watch them celebrate another hundred dollars of sales made when they soak another student during lunch. They are getting closer to their goal of $900. Once this goal is met, they will get to soak their teacher, Ms. Haney! If $1000 is rasied, Mrs. Howard has graciously stated that the class will get to soak her too! Please help them get their teacher, and Mrs. Howard wet with a bucket of water!!
Attention: All track athletes: Please turn in uniforms to Coach Coffman ASAP to avoid the fines list. In addition, there will be a track banquet on Wednesday, May 23 at 5:30pm in the KU cafeteria. Come celebrate a successful season.
Attention: Any Senior needing extra Help on missing class-work, Senior Project, College Applications, Scholarship Applications , FAFSA and Oregon Promise, Mr. Coffman's Room will be open TODAY May 16th after school from 2:15-4:30. Several faculty members will be on hand to assist you. Food, drinks, raffle prizes will be available for those who join us!
Reminder Seniors: The Wendel Switzer Scholarship deadline is this Friday May 18th. Two $1000 scholarships are rewarded to graduating KU Seniors. Visit the success center or Mrs. Coffman today for the application and specific qualifications.
Voting for class officers is still open! Please log into your student email account and look for the email from Mr. McCleve. Voting closes end of day Thursday. Results will be announced Friday during announcements.
National Honors Society is now accepting applications from students who wish to join our chapter this coming year. The mission of NHS is to create excitement for academia; to stimulate a desire for citizen service; to build leadership skills; and to develop character in students. Applicants need to have and maintain a 3.4 GPA as well as being willing to give community service as a member of NHS. Students interested in applying please see Mr. Huntsman for information on the application project. Applications will be due on Friday, May 25th.
For current National Honors Society members, today, during lunch in Mr. Huntsman's room, there will be election speeches for the members that were nominated at yesterday's meeting. Giving speeches for Vice President will be Gavin Conaughty, Connor Cherpeski, Brandon Van Meter, Ruth Peterson, Jacob Mcgonigle, and Brady Monteith. Giving speeches for President will be Brandon Van Meter, Hannah Neuman, Ben Blake, Tabitha Knight, and Rachel Moore. The elections will follow the speeches. Good luck contestants!
Seniors: Please fill out your Final Transcript Request Form today. The form is available in the Registrar's office and in the basket outside of her office door. This MUST be completed and turned in before you finish school this year. Your fines must be paid in full in order to receive your transcripts.
Students: please remember to carry your asthma inhalers, epi-pens and Glucagon during you Give Back Day projects if you have a medical condition requiring these medications! Please be sure to turn in the self-medication form if you have not turned one in. The forms are available on the KF city school web page or the nurse’s office.
