Information and Resources

for Students During the COVID-19 Closure

Dec. 2 CDL Update

Dear Families and Staff,

This is a quick note to update you on our county's status for having students be able to have in-person learning in our schools. Last week's positive new COVID case numbers were again very high and kept Klamath County in the red zone. This means we cannot have any students in school for our hybrid learning program. Unfortunately, this week's numbers are already trending high again. Should they go considerably down the rest of this week and all of next week, the earliest students in grades K-6 could be in school is the week of December 14. The earliest grades 7-12 could have in-person learning is mid to late January, 2021. As always, I will keep you updated on our status for in-person learning as soon as we have the information. Thanks again for your patience and support.

Best wishes,

Paul Hillyer, KFCS Superintendent
